Opportunity: EURAMED Award and Abstract Submissions Now Open for ERPW 2025

We are pleased to share two exciting opportunities connected to the upcoming European Radiation Protection Week (ERPW) 2025, which will take place from 29 September to 3 October 2025 in London, UK.

🎓 EURAMED Award for Students and Early-Career Researchers
The European Alliance for Medical Radiation Protection Research (EURAMED) has launched the EURAMED Award (attached), recognising outstanding research contributions in the field of medical radiation protection and the use of ionising radiation.
Key points:
  • Target group: Students and early-career researchers (up to 6 years post-highest degree)
  • Submission topics:
    • Risks and patient protection in medical applications
    • Non-cancer diseases: Risks and mechanisms at low doses/dose-rates
    • Radiation protection for novel molecular imaging and therapies
  • The award includes:
    • A certificate
    • Free registration to ERPW 2026
    • Travel cost reimbursement up to €500
  • Two runners-up will also be awarded certificates of achievement during the conference.
Deadlines:
  • Abstract submission for ERPW conference: 31 May 2025
  • Extended abstract for EURAMED Award: 30 June 2025 (23:59 CET)
Applications must include:
  • A 2–3 page extended abstract
  • A 1-page CV of the lead author

📢 Abstract Submission for ERPW 2025
Abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations at ERPW 2025 are now open!
  • You are invited to submit abstracts on all areas related to radiation protection research.
  • Special attention should be given to stakeholder input and social sciences/humanities perspectives.
Abstract topics include (among others):
  • Non-cancer diseases: risks and mechanisms at low doses/dose-rates
  • Patient protection and risks in medical applications
  • Infrastructures for radiation protection research
  • Radiation protection for novel molecular imaging and therapies
  • Dosimetry in space and high altitudes
  • Emergency Preparedness, Resilience, and Response (EPRR)
