Annual Conference

The Annual IIRRT Conference.

Each year the IIRRT organise an Annual Conference, the aim of which is to highlight current developments within the professions of radiography and radiation therapy. This includes the introduction of state registration for radiographers and radiation therapists, continual professional development, image interpretation and gynaecological radiotherapy.

The Conference is a key part of the IIRRT councils work, which facilitates continued professional development amongst its members as well as an important social gathering for Radiographers and Radiation Therapists from around the country. It has proven an extremely popular event with expert speakers from both Ireland and abroad updating members of new advances and developments in the field. An exhibition of educational poster presentations allow delegates to review various professional aspects at their leisure. It also offers our industry partners an opportunity to exhib new equipment, technology and opportunities

The Annual Conference alternates its location between Dublin and different regional sites on a yearly basis, so we would be delighted to hear location suggestions from members to our usual address (info@iirrt.ie).

The 16th Annual Conference, 2012

The 2012 Annual IIRRT conference will take place in the Gibson Hotel on Saturday October 13th from 9am -4.30pm. This will be a one day event with multiple afternoon sessions covering various aspects of the profession. Further details of the timetable are available here and in the coming full Abstract Booklet. Car parking is available on the day in the Point Village multistorey car park located behind the hotel (map)

Members can register for this conference using A) the usual postal route by downloading the REGISTRATION FORM (pdf version here) and sending to the IIRRT office along with a cheque / postal order for the relevant fee, or
