The United Kingdom Radiological Congress (UKRC)
25-27th June 2012
The UKRC 2012 draft programme is now available to view and download from the UKRC website: www.ukrc.org.uk.
The 2012 programme encompasses every aspect of medical imaging, with eponymous and keynote lectures, ten parallel streams of invited talks, proffered papers, and traditional and electronic poster presentations. Whether your interests are in clinical service delivery, management, informatics or the latest research, UKRC has much to offer to meet your professional needs. The Programme Committee has worked hard to secure high-profile speakers from the UK and overseas. Highlights of the programme include sessions on commissioning of imaging services in the new NHS, implementation of service innovation, and the future of PACS. Again looking to the future, there are sessions focused on the future of PET and of breast imaging. There will be workshops providing valuable CPD opportunities for RPSs and RPAs, alongside numerous other CPD opportunities in the exhibition as well as the scientific programme. This all sits alongside the clinical radiology programme, which is the backbone of UKRC. This year two clinical vice presidents have combined their efforts to develop seven streams that address the full range of applications, modalities and levels of expertise. All body systems will be covered, with masterclasses and refresher session throughout the three days of the Congress.
In addition to four eponymous lectures by world-renowned speakers, we are delighted that Noel Fitzpatrick, TV’s ‘bionic vet’ will be joining us for a special plenary lecture and session, ‘What man can learn from a dog’.
With such a rich and diverse programme, enhanced by social activities and networking opportunities, I am confident that UKRC will live up to its reputation as the country’s premier medical imaging conference.
Please don’t forget to take advantage of special offer to register with 2011 earlybird rates. This offer only last until the end of December.
